How PAi works

PAi runs an AI model locally on your own computer. Your conversations are processed on your machine by software running on that machine.

Information sent over the internet

PAi makes network requests in these situations:

• Activation. When you enter a purchase code, that code is sent to our activation server so we can confirm it is valid and identify which PAi product it unlocks. We keep a record of issued codes and how many times each has been activated, so codes are not used beyond their limit and so we can help customers who have trouble activating.
• Product catalogue. PAi retrieves its list of available AI models from a public web page we publish.
• Model download. If you choose to download an AI model, that file is fetched directly from its publisher, such as Hugging Face. That request goes to their servers and is governed by their privacy practices, not ours.

We do not require you to create an account, and PAi does not ask you for your name, email address, or payment details.

Your conversations

The AI engine runs on your computer and listens only on a local address on that machine. Your prompts and the AI's replies are handled locally and are not transmitted to us. Any conversation history PAi keeps is stored on your own computer, and you can delete it by removing the PAi folder in your user directory.

Once a model is downloaded, PAi can be used with no internet connection.

Analytics and advertising

PAi contains no advertising and no analytics or telemetry.

Deleting your information

Uninstalling PAi and deleting the PAi folder in your user directory removes the app and its local data. To ask us to remove the activation record for your purchase code, contact us at the address below.

Children

PAi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

Any updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
