PAi Health Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026 · PAi Health for Windows and the optional PAi Health Companion for Android
Summary
PAi Health is designed to let you keep personal health records in an encrypted vault on your own computer. The application does not require a PAi Health cloud account or routinely upload your health records to us. Certain optional functions—including external AI—can transmit selected information when you enable and authorize them. Please read those exceptions below before using them.
Information you enter or import
You may store medical documents, lab results, medication lists and check-ins, blood-pressure, glucose, weight and other readings, symptoms, questions, and information imported from supported health devices or exports. Some information may also come from documents processed by extraction tools. You should check extracted values against the original documents. Health information in the application's vault is encrypted at rest using a randomly generated data key protected with a passphrase-derived wrapping key. You control the vault passphrase; we cannot recover it for you.
The application maintains a local audit history of actions, such as record changes and authorized external AI use. Earlier versions of corrected entries may remain in the encrypted history. Files you explicitly export or back up are under your control; where and how they are stored affects their security. Previously created encrypted backups may still require the passphrase used when they were made.
When data may leave your device
| Optional function | What happens |
|---|---|
| External AI provider | If you choose to configure an external provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic or NVIDIA and authorize a request, selected text, document excerpts or images, questions, and relevant record content needed for that request may be sent to that provider over the internet. The provider processes the submitted material under its own terms and privacy policy. Do not enable external AI if you want all processing to remain offline. |
| Locally run AI model | Inference can occur locally. If you choose to download a model, the download service (for example Hugging Face) receives normal connection information such as an IP address. The model download is not a health-record upload. |
| Android phone companion | If installed, enabled, and paired, selected information may sync between your phone and computer over the local network. Android Health Connect permissions, if used, are controlled by Android. Devices on your network and your operating systems have their own security characteristics. |
| Bluetooth devices and imported files | The application can receive readings from devices or files you choose. This does not inherently send your vault to us. |
| External links | If you open a web link, your browser connects to the destination website, which applies its own privacy practices. |
What we collect
We do not operate a PAi Health health-record cloud service, and the application is not designed to transmit your vault to us. We do not sell health records or use in-app health data for advertising. We do not embed advertising or website analytics trackers in this privacy-policy page. If you contact us for support, we receive the email address and any information you choose to provide. Please avoid emailing medical records or other sensitive health information. Microsoft may independently process Store transactions, diagnostics, or distribution statistics subject to Microsoft's own privacy practices; we may receive Store reports.
How to manage information
You may review and correct entries, import files, create encrypted backups, and use available export and deletion features. Corrections may be preserved in the local audit/history rather than erased in place. Removing the application does not necessarily delete files or backups you saved elsewhere. Delete those separately if desired. To stop optional sharing, disable external AI consent, remove connected provider credentials, and unpair the companion device as applicable. If you change your passphrase, previously made backups may still use the older one.
Security and limits
The Windows interface is designed to run locally on 127.0.0.1. The vault uses encrypted storage and access controls. The optional companion may communicate on a local network when enabled. No security system eliminates all risk: malware, someone with access to an unlocked device, unsafe exports, and third-party providers can compromise privacy. Protect your passphrase, device, and encrypted backups.
Retention
Vault data remains under your control on your devices until removed through the application's supported functions or deletion of the vault/files. Encrypted backups and exported copies persist wherever you store them. Support messages are retained as reasonably needed to answer your request and comply with applicable obligations. External AI providers and Microsoft may apply separate retention rules to information they receive.
Children
PAi Health is intended for adults organizing personal or family health information. It is not directed to children for independent use. If you enter another person's information, ensure you have appropriate authority to do so.
Medical information
PAi Health is intended to organize records and support conversations with clinicians. It does not replace medical care or emergency services. The presence or absence of an app message is not proof that a medical condition is or is not present. If you suspect an emergency, contact emergency services promptly. Regulatory status depends on the exact features and intended use of the released version.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the software or services change. The effective date at the top will be updated. Where required, we will request consent before enabling new transfers of sensitive information.
